About Me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor in Oregon. I am a helper and an entrepreneur at heart, and I love bringing out the best in people. I love seeing people and helping them find the path forward into the growth and change they've always wanted. I also enjoy helping people become their most authentic and successful selves.

I went into private practice to be my own boss, create an environment where people felt safe and could thrive, and have flexibility in my schedule. I started my first business, Discover Counseling, as a solo practitioner and have grown it into a successful group practice. I also started a second business, Life Discovery Counseling Services, with my business partner which has also grown into a multi-site successful group practice.

I do private practice consulting for therapists and executive coaching for business professionals. Working with people to share what I've learned in my 14 years as a professional counselor is so rewarding for me. I've learned so many great tools and strategies for starting, growing, or scaling a business. I also know the keys to effective interpersonal relationships, whether you're a CEO or trying to climb a ladder toward more success. One of the biggest secrets is that often you are your own worst enemy. Learning and growing as a person will help you achieve the success you're striving for.

My podcast, Shrink Think, is a creative outlet for me and my co-host, Nathan Hawkins, to share what we've learned as therapists, business owners, and average joes. It has some great content that can help informative or helpful, but is also a lot of fun and doesn't take anything too seriously (life is hard enough already; we need to be able to laugh!).
